A Dallas Tamil Church Bible Study
The goal of this study is to study the enemy that exists who is a defeated foe. He will be eventually pushed into the lake of fire, but until then roars like a lion to devour as many as he can. Jesus destroyed the works of the devil and gave us authority to cast him out of our lives.

Satan's Footholds, and Strongholds
(gpbg;Gfs;, Nfhl;ilfs;)
Introduction
When satan gains initial entrance, it can be construed as a foothold. When Satan’s allowed to stay for a while, the foothold can become a stronghold. For example, a youth tasting wine, or alcohol will soon be drawn to frequent drinking. Initiation or solicitation by his friends, is a foothold. When he continues to drink and becomes a habitual drinker, it becomes a stronghold. Jesus is able to deliver us from every stronghold of satan.

Satan's Footholds, and Strongholds
1. Strongholds are vantage points from where the enemy can cause significant damage. When Moses spied the enemy’s territory, he asked the spies to look for strongholds (places where the enemies are fortified)

2. Footholds can become strongholds, when more demons enter into the same person as shown in the gospels.

- Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

3. Often the demons will group and there will be a strong man. For example, the strong man could be hate, while the lesser demons could consist of anger, bitterness, jealousy, envy, etc.

4. Strongholds in a person’s life can be identified, by comparing the life-style of a person with the standards set by the living word of God (bible).

6. Overcoming the Strongholds (muz;fis epu;%ykhf;F) is possible by being obedient to God’s Word and through Prayer. We must bring all our thoughts in subjection to the Word of God and pray continuously to overcome the strongholds (Satan’s vantage points) in our life.

Conclusion
Footholds and strongholds can be broken in Jesus’ name by using the Word of God and Prayer. Jesus triumphed over the principalities and powers of darkness, giving us victory on the cross. By following his Word (belt of truth) and by being in Prayer, we can overcome every foothold and stronghold in our lives by the Power(Spirit) of our God..

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
