|
|
Introduction
|
The habits we form takes us to our destiny. It affects Christians and non-Christians, just like the law of gravity affects everyone. By understanding the biblical principles, we can avoid this broad road that takes us to poverty and take the road that makes
|

Road that takes us to destiny
|
|
1. Jesus talks of two roads that always confront us. A narrow road that is hard and gives life and the broad road that is easy and takes us to destruction
|
- Matthew 7:13. ,Lf;fkhd thry; topaha; cl;gpuNtrpAq;fs;; Nfl;Lf;Fg; Nghfpw thry; tpupTk;> top tprhyKkhapUf;fpwJ; mjpd; topaha;g; gpuNtrpf;fpwtu;fs; mNefu;.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
- 14. [PtDf;Fg; Nghfpw thry; ,Lf;fKk;> top neUf;fKkhapUf;fpwJ; mijf; fz;Lgpbf;fpwtu;fs; rpyu;.
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

2. Unrestrained Spending
|
- A person who spends without restraint will land in poverty, but he who gathers little by little garners wealth
-
Luke 15:11. gpd;Dk; mtu; nrhd;dJ: xU kD\Df;F ,uz;L Fkhuu; ,Ue;jhu;fs;.
And he said, A certain man had two sons:
-
12. mtu;fspy; ,isatd; jd; jfg;gid Nehf;fp: jfg;gNd> M];jpapy; vdf;F tUk; gq;if vdf;Fj; juNtz;Lk; vd;whd;. me;jg;gb mtd; mtu;fSf;Fj; jd; M];jpiag; gq;fpl;Lf;nfhLj;jhd;.
And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
-
13. rpy ehisf;Fg;gpd;G> ,isakfd; vy;yhtw;iwAk; Nru;j;Jf;nfhz;L> J}u Njrj;Jf;Fg; Gwg;gl;Lg;Ngha;> mq;Nf Jd;khu;f;fkha; [Ptdk;gz;zp> jd; M];jpia mopj;Jg;Nghl;lhd;.
And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
-
14. vy;yhtw;iwAk; mtd; nrytopj;jgpd;G> me;j Njrj;jpNy nfhba gQ;rKz;lhapw;W. mg;nghOJ mtd; FiwTglj;njhlq;fp>
And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
- God exhorts us to gather little by little. For example, a $100 saved this week, will give us $400 this month. At the end of 1 year, it gives 4000 in savings. At the end of 10 years, it gives us 40,000 in cash. If at the end of 20 years, if a child is ready to do college degree, we will have in cash $80,000 to pay for School. But it just took a discipline of $100 each week, to reach that goal.
-
Proverbs 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. (NIV)
-
Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. (NLT)
-

5. Wisdom & Knowledge takes us on the road to Wealth
|
- Our priority should be to ask wisdom from God, in making and distributing wealth. Without the wisdom of God, one might make huge wealth and still land in poverty by losing them all.
-

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
-
12. QhdKk; tpNtfKk; je;jpUf;fpwJky;yhky;> cdf;FKd; ,Ue;j uh[hf;fSf;fhfpYk; cdf;Fg;gpd; ,Uf;Fk; uh[hf;fSf;fhfpYk; ,y;yhj IRtupaj;ijAk; rk;gj;ijAk; fdj;ijAk; cdf;Fj; jUNtd; vd;whu;.
Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
- Ignorance is the absence of knowledge. Acquiring knowledge precedes Success.

Conclusion
|
The road to poverty is decorated with Ungodliness, Laziness, and Ignorance. The road to wealth is decorated with lips of Knowledge, Godly wisdom, and Disciplined hands that sow and reap. Wealth cannot be earned quickly, but it can surely be earned little by little with the application of knowledge and skills that the Lord provides, so that we all can have all sufficiency in all things in our life.
