Power & Purpose of Saving
|
|
Introduction
|
The contemporary culture focuses on spending before we even earn. There is strong pull to acquire things that we do not need, and to buy things before we actually need them. By buying continuously, there is no drive to save the wealth that Gives. In this lesson, we will look at the power of Saving, and purpose of Saving.

- Jacob also faced famine in his life. Without losing faith, Jacob decided to send his sons to seek for food in Egypt. And God had already made a way to sustain the entire family of Israel in Egypt.

|
- Joseph saved immeasurable wealth, to take care of the oncoming famine. God wants us to be wise, and save for the future. Entire generation can be saved by our saving habits. We need to replace our spending habits with saving habits.
-
Genesis 41:46. NahNrg;G vfpg;jpd; uh[hthfpa ghu;NthDf;F Kd;ghf epw;Fk;NghJ Kg;gJ tajhapUe;jhd;; NahNrg;G ghu;NthDila re;epjpapypUe;J Gwg;gl;L> vfpg;JNjrk; vq;Fk; Ngha;r; Rw;wpg;ghu;j;jhd;.

4. Reduce spending and Start saving
|
- Prodigal living will surely deplete our savings. God wants to be wise and continue to save and not to be in want. The Devil wants us to be in poverty and in need. We need to fight every instinct to waste wealth that God brings on our way.
-
Luke 15:13. rpy ehisf;Fg;gpd;G> ,isakfd; vy;yhtw;iwAk; Nru;j;Jf;nfhz;L> J}u Njrj;Jf;Fg; Gwg;gl;Lg;Ngha;> mq;Nf Jd;khu;f;fkha; [Ptdk;gz;zp> jd; M];jpia mopj;Jg;Nghl;lhd;.

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
- Riches are a tool to meet the needs of the family, to meet the needs of the Church, to meet the needs of Children and to meet the needs of the Country
-
Ecclesiastes 10:19. tpUe;J re;Njh\j;Jf;nfd;W nra;ag;gLk;; jpuhl;rurk; [PtDs;Nshiuf; fspg;ghf;Fk;; gzNkh vy;yhtw;wpw;Fk; cjTk;.
A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.

|
5. Purpose of Saving
|
- The purpose of saving is to give to next generation and to leave a legacy. We need to save for our children and for our children's children. God commanded us to leave inheritance to our children.
-
1 Chronicles 28:8. ,g;NghJk; ePq;fs; vd;nwd;iwf;Fk; ,e;j ey;y Njrj;ijr; Rje;jukha; mEgtpj;J> cq;fSf;Fg;gpwF mij cq;fs; gps;isfSf;Fr; Rje;jukha;g; gpd;itf;Fk;nghUl;lhf> ePq;fs; cq;fs; Njtdhfpa fu;j;jupd; fw;gidfisnay;yhk; iff;nfhz;L tprhupAq;fs; vd;W fu;j;jupd; rigahfpa ,];uNty; midj;jpd; fz;fSf;FKd;ghfTk;> ekJ NjtDila nrtpNfl;fTk; cq;fSf;Fg; Gj;jpnrhy;YfpNwd;.
Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
- We need to save in order to leave an inheritance. The time to start saving is today
-
22. ey;ytd; jd; gps;isfspd; gps;isfSf;Fr; Rje;juk; itj;Jg;Nghfpwhd;: ghtpapd; M];jpNah ePjpkhDf;fhf Nru;j;Jitf;fg;gLk;.
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Conclusion
|
Today is the time to save! As time rolls by, everything we save, will become a legacy to our children.Properties are also a resource for the Children, to generate wealth in times of famine.
It is a privilege to handle wealth. We are encouraged to work hard and to multiply our talents, without burying our talents. We are asked to leave legacy to our children just like Abraham who gave all the wealth to Isaac. We are asked to give for the gospel work such as Church Planting,, Orphanages, Digging bore wells, buying bicycles for Pastors, and supporting missionary work.
May the Lord enlarge our territory and fill our barns so that we can be faithful stewards for the expansion of His Kingdom.
