Art of Budgeting to Win
|
|
Introduction
|
Most of the time, it is not the lack of money but the proper use of money that is essential to live a successful, worry-free life financially. Budget is the plan for spending money. It is also defined as the estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time. Webster dictionary defined budget as, "an amount of money available for spending that is based on a plan for how it will be spent".
In this lesson, we will study on the art of Budgeting.

Art of Budgeting

|
1. Begin where you are today (Crown, 2003)
|
- Although everyone knows the income, most people do not know all the ways the money is spent. It is encouraged to write down every expense of the month for at least few months, to get an accurate list of expenditure. God wanted Hezekiah to set the house in order. As believers, we must keep the house in order, if we have to live long and exemplary for God.

In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

2. Pray about expenditure
|
- Most of the catalogs and television promotions are built to increase our expenditure. Unrestrained spending gets us into a lifestyle of want. Soon our hard earned money can be lost in buying frivolous things that do not add value in the future. The Lord wants us to be faithful in the little in small things, before he can give us big things. If we are not faithful in little, it is impossible to be faithful in big things.

3. Plan your budget
|
- One must plan our expenditures. Unless the expenditure is planned, we will soon spend more than what we earn, because of the innumerable expenses that come on our way.

4. Tips to excel in budgeting (Crown, 2003)

- Being content is the biblical way to be happy in all circumstances. Accumulation of wealth does not bring happiness. Rather, being content in every circumstance is the key to happiness.

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Conclusion
|
ePjpnkhopfs; 12:15. kjpaPdDila top mtd; ghu;itf;Fr; nrk;ikahapUf;Fk;; MNyhridf;Fr; nrtpnfhLf;fpwtNdh QhdKs;std;.
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
We must listen to the Lord's counsel in every aspect of our lives. The Lord wants us to plan our lives wisely. If we are faithful in little, God will give us more to handle. Joseph was faithful in little (budgeting inside the prison) before he became a manager for the entire wealth of Egypt.
Having more savings, will give allow more room to give more for the Kingdom of God. The savings is also a must to survive in days of famine as it was in the days of Joseph.

May the Lord give us more wisdom in carefully budgeting the wealth He gives to us.
